Here are some basic instructions for DFS Kitchen appliances

  • Select and check the recipes to ensure the ingredients are loaded into the correct slot on the DFS HUD.
  • Load the DFS HUD by adding one ingredient at a time to the correct slot number indicated on the recipe. In the event a loading error, please use the DFS trash can. (See DFS Trash Can instructions)
  • Double-click the appliance to load the DFS HUD ingredients to the appliance, a timer will appear above the appliance
  • When the cooking is done, the appliance will alert you with a “Bing”, and a message to “click to receive” the food item.
  • If you delay in collecting your food item, you will see a “recipe has failed” message, resulting in an “Oopsie”. The item will wait 2 minutes before resulting in and oopsie.
  • You must clear the content before the appliance can be used again.

Anvil

The DFS Anil is used to make craftables for the DFS Mining System. The DFS Anvil requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Butcher Block

The DFS Butcher Block used to chop and prepare meat.  The Butcher Block is the modern version of the DFS Butcher Table.  Therefore, any recipe that calls for a DFS Butcher Table, you can use the DFS Butcher Block in its place.  The DFS Butcher Block requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Butter Churn

The DFS Butter Churn is used to make DFS Butter. The DFS Butter Churn requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Candle Station

The DFS Candle Station is used to make candle crafts. The DFS Candle Station requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Carpentry Desk

The DFS Carpentry Desk is used to make wood crafts. The DFS Carpentry Desk requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Cauldron

The DFS Cauldron is used to make dyes, yarns and assorted holiday crafts. The DFS Cauldron requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Cheese Press

The DFS Cheese Press is used to make cheese. The DFS Cheese Press requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Coffee Maker

The DFS Coffee Maker is used to produce hot drinks. The DFS Coffee Maker requires the DFS HUD and ingredients.

Compost Bin

The DFS compost Bin allows you to store your fertilizers in a location accessible for your fields and any farming partners. Please remember to rezz the compost for the first time under the group name you want to use it, to limit access.

You will be able to access bags fertilizer directly from the compost bin. You will no longer have to count fields to pull out the needed fertilizers. The compose bin will not only store the fertilizers but distribute the fertilizers as well.

The Compost bin holds up to 100 bags of fertilizer at a time.

To use:

1) Place the bin near you fields (center point if possible)

2) After collecting the fertilizers, place them near the bin within 5 meters. The bin will hold up to100 sacks of fertilizer

To use:

3) Click field as usual, and select fertilize

4) Select Compost to use the bin.

Please note, large farms may need more than one compost bin.

Drying Rack

The DFS Drying Rack is used to dehydrate items like herbs and meat. The DFS Drying Rack requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Feed Mill

The DFS Feed Mill is used to make food for DFS Animals. The DFS Feed Mill requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Fermenter

DFS Fermenter produces DFS Beer Kegs and DFS Wine Barrels. The DFS Fermenter requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Forge

The DFS Forge is used to refine raw materials from the mines.  The DFS Forge requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Freezer

The DFS Juicer (Barrel Crusher) is used to produce juice.  The DFS Barrel Crusher requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Grinder

The DFS Grinder is used to prepare the Cannabis harvests for Cooking The DFS Grinder requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Juicer

The DFS Juicer (Barrel Crusher) is used to produce juice.  The DFS Barrel Crusher requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Leatherworking Table

The DFS Leatherworking Station is used to make crafts from Alligator hides. The DFS Leatherworking Station requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Loom

The DFS Loom is used to make fabric bolts. The DFS Loom requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Mortar and Pestle

The DFS Mortar and Pestle is use to ground a number of DFS ingredients from the raw produce, such as sugar, mustard, coffee, cinnamon, wheat, and cocoa.  It is one of the most used kitchen tools.

Oven

The DFS Oven is used to produce baked recipes. The DFS Oven requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Prep Table

The DFS Prep Table is used to prepare the food.  The DFS Mixing Bowl is the modern version of the DFS Prep Table.  The DFS Prep Table requires DFS HUD and ingredients

Pumpkin Carving Table

The DFS Pumpkin Carving Table is used to create recipes with the DFS Pumpkin.  The DFS Pumpkin Carving Table requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Sawmill

The DFS Sawmill is used to make boards. The DFS Sawmill requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Sewing Machine

The DFS Sewing Machine is used to make fabric crafts. The DFS Sewing Machine requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Smoker

The DFS Smoker is used to produce Smoker Recipes. The DFS Smoker requires DFS HUD and ingredients

Soap Station

The DFS Soap Station is used to make soap crafts. The DFS Soap Station requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Spinning Wheel


The DFS Spinning Wheel is used to make wool threads. The DFS Spinning Wheel requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Still

When you put the wrong item in a slot on your DFS HUD, you can use the DFS Trashcan to remove the item.  When you make a mistake, The DFS Trashcan  save you from losing all of the items in the DFS Hud

Stove

The DFS Stove is used to produce all grilled, fried and cooked recipes. The DFS Stove requires DFS HUD and ingredients.

Trashcan

When you put the wrong item in a slot on your DFS HUD, you can use the DFS Trashcan to remove the item.  When you make a mistake, The DFS Trashcan  save you from losing all of the items in the DFS Hud

Water Tower

The Water tower works like the water barrels in the system, except it consumes water barrels placed around it and can hold up to 100 barrels of water. The water barrels should be within 5 meters of the tower. While the tower must be filled, it is a huge benefit for the busy farmer.

To use the water tower, just rezz it near your fields, trees, animals.  It will also fill and keep the trough full automatically.

Water Trough

DFS Water troughs are used to provide water to the DFS animals.  Therefore, they must be placed near the animals for easy access.  The animals will use the trough automatically throughout the day.   In addition, they will need to be refilled, which you can do in three ways.  If the water tower or water wind pump is in water range of the trough it will keep it filled.  You may also place barrels of water near the trough for absorption.  The trough will hold 4oo waters, which is 400 water barrels.

Water Well

The DFS Water Well is the primary source of water in the DFS system.  It is how you would typically gather water to provide water barrels and water buckets.  The only other options are the DFS water wind pump, which has limit use, and to buy water barrels from other DFS other members.   The DFS Water Well provides barrels that have 100 water, and are used to refill the troughs and towers.  You can also water the fields directly from the water barrels.  The DFS Water Well also provides DFS water bucket that are used for cooking.

Windpump

1)   Durability: 10080  =  7 Days of running time before it breaks

2)  Water Level: 100 – Holds a maximum of 100 water units* at a time, same as a barrel.

3)  The windpump will break and stop working after Durability reaches 0

4)  Windpumps can be repaired with the repair kit.  However, the kit MUST be used before the Windpump reaches 0.

5)  Windpumps work on the same rules as the barrels and can be used around your farm, except it generates water slowly. (Up to 120 water units per hour)

6)  Best place for the windpump is near a water tower.

7)  Durability will still go down even when the tower is full

8)  Durability stops when its in your inventory it works on the same rules as secondlife timers

8)  Generates 200 barrels of water per week

9) Max durability goes down by 1 each time it is repaired

** 100 Water Units is the same as 1 Water Barrel
